Prayer

Here at RCC there are many times and ways that we devote our attention to prayer together:

Prayer Gathering after every Communion Service (usually 1st Sunday each month)

"Prayer around the table" after every fellowship dinner (2nd Wed each month)

24-hour Prayer Vigil (usually in October)

Service of Anointing and Prayers for Healing (our Ash Wednesday tradition)

And of course each week in Morning Worship we offer up earnest prayers to the Lord. Here are several requests and items of praise that have been mentioned in recent weeks:

  • Healing service intercession - Dan M., Julie K., Alice & Joe, Kate P., Henry, Peter D., Kurt & Fred, Ann W., Dorothy K.
  • Ted H. - healing following ulcer surgery
  • Walt B. - debilitating back pain
  • George B. - restoration of speech
  • Chris M. - incarcerated, but finding peace and joy in Christ!
  • Laborers for the harvest - we long for the blessing of the Lord to grow our local congregation

The greatest tragedy in life is not unanswered prayer, but unoffered prayer.

Who one believes God to be is most accurately revealed not in any credo but in the way one speaks to God when no one else is listening.
